20 May 2025 – Golden Keys – Part 7

Psalm 1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.

“Righteousness” will be richly rewarded. Righteousness is not perfection but a lifestyle that is authenticated by the Word of God. Righteousness is choosing what is true, noble and honest; a lifestyle that honours the supremacy of God and esteems the Lord more than anything/anyone. When put through the test of fire, this ‘way of life’ will come out as unadulterated pure solid gold. The golden key to fruitfulness and a flourishing life is “righteousness”.

Righteousness cannot be hidden. Potiphar, the Egyptian master of Joseph saw that God gave Joseph success in everything he did and put him in-charge of his household. Similarly, in the prison he became the man in-charge and the jailor paid no attention to the division that was under Joseph, as the Lord gave him success in whatever he did. Finally righteousness took Joseph into the Egyptian palace. The Pharaoh was the wealthiest man in the world at that time and he entrusted the keys to the wealth of Egypt into the hands of a Hebrew slave! The access to the golden key of success is ‘fear of the Lord’ and a ‘righteous lifestyle’.

The success that comes from righteousness will be noticed by the adversary. The enemies of Isaac said to him, “We saw clearly that the Lord was with you” (Genesis 26:28a). Laban the Aramean and the father-in-law of Jacob said, “I have learned by divination that the Lord has blessed me because of you” (Genesis 30:27b). The evidence of a righteous lifestyle in private will attract public attention.

Golden Spiritual Keys:

1.         Results: Choosing right over wrong and walking in the fear of the Lord in obscurity, will bring obvious results. The favour of God on a person cannot be hidden.

2.         Reward: Righteousness will be rewarded with promotions and elevation. We don’t have to chase elevation, the righteous will be rewarded on the earth (Proverbs 11:31a).

3.         Righteousness: But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).

The golden key to prosperity and peace is righteousness.

Prayer: Father God, I commit to choose righteousness over riches as your word says the righteous prosper in whatsoever they do. Amen.
