08 June 2025 – The Faith Bubble – Part 5

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

“Faith believes that God will do what He says He will.”

The effects of faith are calm-confidence, courage and clarity through the crisis and calamity. Faith is not the hidden treasure of the heart; it is the crown on our head.  The results that faith produces in the soul will be displayed in our words, deeds and conduct. Faith develops character and godliness.  Faith builds its confidence on God’s word and clothes the mind and heart with calmness and courage. She shall rejoice in time to come (Proverbs 31:25). Faith looks into the future with clarity without confusion.

Ruth was a Moabite but her faith in the Lord God of our deceased husband motivated her to follow Naomi, her widowed mother-in-law. As Ruth declared to Naomi, “Your people will be my people and your God my God” (Ruth 1:16b), the declaration of her faith grafted her into the bloodline of King David and the King of kings, Jesus. The faith of the Moabite woman overruled the fear of becoming an outcast in a foreign land. She did not fret about being misused or mistreated in an unknown community as she was secure under the protection of the Almighty God.

Faith draws its confidence from God’s goodness and faithfulness. Faith is not about who we are, but about who He is. Knowing God will build the substratum of our faith.

The Faith Bubble:

1.         Confidence: The walls of the faith-bubble are built with the bricks of confidence from the scriptures, prophecies and the promises of God. God’s Word always triumphs over threats, predictions and reality.

2.         Courage: Faith pumps courage into our soul. The voice of faith drowns the screams of fear. Faith based courage is not from our strength, skills or smartness but from the authority and power of the Almighty God.

3.         Clarity: Faith clears confusion and instills clarity in our thinking, expectations and deliberations. There is no ambiguity of the end result as God will do what He said He will.

The essence of faith is confidence, courage and clarity.

Prayer: Dearest Lord Jesus, help me to build my faith on your nature and your Word. Amen.
