10 June 2025 – The Faith Bubble – Part 7

1 Corinthians 16:13: “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong”.

“Faith believes that God will do what He says He will.”

Firm Faith is steadfast, courageous and strong. Come hell or high water, the bubble of faith will keep us buoyant above the circumstances. We will never be below the crisis but will walk over it. However, for the fragile seed of faith to grow into firm faith, it must go through tests and be proven trustworthy.

The trials of life do not come our way to traumatize us but to make us tenacious. The bigger the test, the bolder and better our faith must grow to triumph over the typhoon. Faith that is built on the truth of God’s Word will go against the severe wind of disappointment and tame it. Such trustworthy faith over the tests and trials becomes “transferable faith”. “Transferable Faith” is also the “gift of faith” that will move the mountains.

Caleb and Joshua became the “Distinguished Duo” among the 600,000 warriors as they not only affirmed their faith but also encouraged others to remain resolute in their faith. “Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” (Numbers 14:9). They encouraged people that they would devour the giants in Canaan as the Lord of the Universe was with them. They not only had the faith to subdue the giants, but also demonstrated a ‘transferable faith’ to instill hope and dispel fear in those around them.

Transferable faith is tough, tenacious and trustworthy in the test.

The Faith Bubble:

1.         Tested: Firm faith will be tested by the fiery furnace, flooded rivers and formidable giants. In a test if we fret and faint, our faith is smaller than the mustard seed. A mustard size of faith is strong enough to flatten mountains!

2.         Trustworthy: Firm faith does not question, complain or quiver, it simply trusts.

3.         Transferable: Firm faith is joyful, hopeful and faithful and hence is contagious and transferable.

Firm faith is tough, tenacious, trustworthy and transferable.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, give me the gift of “transferable faith” that will influence the weak and wimp to trust in your omnipotence. Amen.
