Malachi 3:16 Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.
“God sees our heart and hears our conversations”
The casual chats and conversation of those who walk in the reverential fear of the Lord are recorded in a “scroll of remembrance”. Every time we talk about the goodness of God, testify about His faithfulness or share our divine victories, the scroll of remembrance is opened. I believe it is digitized and stored in the divine iCloud of heaven under our name. God honours not only our prayers but also the confession of faith. The convictions of our heart become our conversation. We only have to talk to a person for a few minutes to understand the convictions of their heart. When the faith is verbalized, the Lord not only listens but also makes an indelible note in His memory. He will never forget those who trust Him and declare His faithfulness.
God intently listened to the conversation of two widows. But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God” (Ruth 1:16). God heard the conviction of the young Moabite widow and noted her faith declaration in His book of remembrance. Hence, 2,860 years after her demise, her name was recorded in the genealogy of Jesus.
Convictions and conversations:
1. Chats: God is listening to our chit chats. Be more aware of God’s presence than the people around you. Our chats are recorded in heaven.
2. Conversations: God responds to our conversations. Bold declaration of our faith might make us unpopular in the world but the Lord will recognize and popularize our name in heaven.
3. Convictions: Convictions that become our conversation is the pathway to promotions. To overturn the defeats and downturns of life, declare the goodness and the faithfulness of the Lord. Praise your way out of the prison of failure, fear and fallacy.
The Lord listens to our conversations and records it in the book of remembrance.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I commit my tongue to only declare faith and speak about your faithfulness. Amen.
