Joshua 10:12-13 Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies.
“God sees our heart and hears our conversations”
The Lord God not only hears our prayers but He sees the faith in our heart. Our conversations with the Saviour with faith are powerful. The supernatural power of God is unleashed into the natural realm by our prayer conversations.
Joshua had a conversation with the Lord audibly in the hearing of all the Israelite army. They were in a fierce battle with the joined forces of the five kings of the Amorites. The Lord God Himself was fighting the battle. As dusk was settling in, Joshua asked the Lord to halt the sun and moon until he annihilates the Amorites. The Lord God immediately stopped the setting sun over Gibeon and the rising sun over Aijalon until Joshua defeated the coalition army. There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel! (Vs 14). The Lord listened to a human and put the cosmos on hold!
Joshua did not just speak ‘words of desperation’, it was the ‘language of faith’. The conversation of the righteous that walk in obedience shoots through the spiritual realm and unlocks the supernatural power of God. They are like powerful missiles that obliterate the fiendish demonic forces.
Convictions and conversations:
1. Armour: The conversation we have with the Saviour is our armour. It protects our thoughts from fear and foreboding and covers us from head to toe from the attack of the enemy.
2. Artillery: Our conversation with conviction with the Lord is the artillery and the divine weaponry that defeats the brutal attack of the demonic realm.
3. Army: Our conversations with the certainty that God hears the cry of the righteous and He surrounds them with songs of deliverance will empower us with heavenly help and surround us with divine army.
Our conversations with the Lord, with deep conviction that He hears us will ignite the supernatural power of God.
Prayer: God Lord My King who froze the universe for Joshua, fight for me and overthrow the enemy. Amen.
