Ephesians 1:21 Far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
The resurrected Christ Jesus is sovereign above all principality, power, might or dominion. The demonic realm is under His feet. No power in heaven or earth can be compared to the exceeding greatness of our God. Once we visualize the awesomeness of our God, and see our challenges on earth from the throne room of heaven, we will be above only and never below. The only condition to be above sin, sickness and crucible situations is to walk in obedience to God’s Word. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom (Deuteronomy 28:13). We will be above all circumstances, emotions, predictions, worldly standards and hellish attacks. Nothing by any means can harm us. “Our problems are minuscule before the power of God.”
Above All Sin
We have the authority in Christ Jesus to resist sin, wrong habits and addictions. Jesus defeated animosity, alcoholism, adultery, anger, abuse and antagonism on the cross of Calvary. There is no vice addiction that can imprison a child of God. Don’t let the devil fool you. We have the authority to win over every sin.
We are Above All Sin:
1. Rewire: Many are under the deception that the carnal nature is inborn and cannot be changed. It is wrong to say that we are short tempered, anxious or timid. We might have been born with those innate natures but are born again into divine royalty and victory. Rewire your thinking.
2. Resist: We have the power to resist the temptations and overturn the demonic traps. Resist the devil with the Word of God and he will flee from you. Scripture is the sword that will slaughter the slithering demons.
3. Rout: Use the name of Jesus to rout temptation back to hell. Put on the robe of righteousness.
The blood, the name and the Word gives us the authority to defeat every sin.
Prayer: Dearest Lord Jesus, help me understand and use my authority over temptation and break sinful and addictive habits. Amen.
