Ephesians 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
Above All Principality
The resurrected triumphant King Jesus is seated far above all rulers or authorities, powers or leaders. “Far” refers to a great distance beyond human visualization and imagination. Far extends over a large expanse of space that is beyond reach. The distance from the earth to planet Neptune is about 4.5 billion kilometers and rocket scientists estimate that it would take 160,704 hours, (6696 days) or 18.3 years to travel to Neptune. If the distance to the far end of our Milky Way is impenetrable and mindboggling, how much more would be the distance from the earth to the heavenly heights where Jesus is seated gloriously.
No human ruler, authority or influence is in comparison to our Victorious King Jesus. All the wicked principalities, powers and dominion are powerless and are footling before the Lord of lords. So no one and nothing can even come near a child of God who is seated in their spiritual authority along with King Jesus. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). So no man has authority to demean/demote us and no demon can defeat us when we are seated with Christ Jesus in our spiritual authority.
The seat of honour is before our enemies; we will not be out of sight but are out of reach.
Above All Rulers:
1. Far: “Far” above all rulers and authorities is a distance that our intellect cannot comprehend. So, no man or demon can hurt or harm us. We are far from the reach of human envy or hellish wrath.
2. Force: The fiercest force on earth or the most fiendish force from hell is powerless against us as we are at a distance that is far from their reach.
3. Fear: We need not be fearful or afraid of hell or human power. The Lord will strike our enemies with panic and fear.
We are not out of sight but we are out of reach of all rulers, authorities or dominions.
Prayer: Dearest Lord Jesus, thank you for the blessed assurance that I am far above all who try to suppress and oppress me. Amen.
