1 Kings 19:5-6 Then he(Elijah) lay down and slept under the broom tree. But as he was sleeping, an angel touched him and told him, “Get up and eat!” He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again.
Siri can be used as an alarm in devices such as iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and HomePod. The common commands to set an alarm would be “Hey Siri, set an alarm at 4am and label it ‘prayer time’”. The alarm will be set with the naming convention given in our instruction. Even without touching the device the alarm and labeling can be set.
Siri, the Apple Assistant can only wake you up with a chiming alarm but the Angelic Assistants not only woke up Elijah, who was fatigued, but also prepared a hot breakfast for him to enjoy. The jar of water that the angel brought would have been the sweetest water that Elijah must have tasted after the severe famine.
Angels stand by our bedside to wake us up every morning. They also set up the table for us to enjoy the spiritual food that is waiting in the prayer closet.
Angelic Assistants:
1. Alarm: The angel woke up Elijah the second time to prepare him for his journey (1 Kings 19:7). Angels cannot be snoozed or stopped like an alarm.
2. Alerts: An angel woke up Zachariah to alert him about the future. Then the angel who was speaking with me returned and woke me up in the same way that a man is awakened from sleep (Zachariah 4:1). If you are woken up in the middle of the night, it is probably angels bringing alerts from heaven.
3. Ash Bread: The bread baked on hot coals without a pan is called “Ash Bread”. Angels are the best and the most trustable alarms to wake us up in the morning to commune with God. Set angelic guards at your bedside to wake you up and to enjoy the special ash bread of God’s Word baked by the fire anointing.
The Angelic Assistants are the most reliable alarms and alerts.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for the angelic alarms and alerts that wake me up and set my breakfast table with spiritual food to nourish my soul. Amen.
