Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.” “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts”
“Mindcraft is a proactive approach where individuals consciously shape their thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives to foster growth and navigate challenges effectively. It means architecting your mental space, decluttering negative thoughts, and planting seeds of positivity, resilience, and ambition.”
“Make sure your worst enemy doesn’t live between your own two ears” – Laird Hamilton. The biggest contributor to stress, sickness and struggles is our thinking patterns. The way we process information and react to situations is contributed more by what happens in the mind than our external circumstances. The mindset and perceptions can blow a problem out of proportion.
“Spiritual Mindcraft” is to proactively shape or transform our thoughts by the renewing of our mind every day. This simply means that we align our thoughts, perceptions and aspirations to the mind of Christ. Paul in his letter to the Corinthians says “But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16b). The conjunction “but” is connecting the two contrasts of the carnal mind that is disconnected from Christ Jesus and the mind that is united with Him. Listening to the Holy Spirit, aligning our thoughts with His thoughts and submitting our ways with His ways is “spiritual mindcraft”.
Mindcraft – the Mind of Christ:
1. Indwell: The indwelling Spirit of God is our guide, coach and teacher. He is our mentor who shapes our thoughts, beliefs and perspectives. He is the substratum of our faith. Lean on Him and listen to Him. Get His thoughts and build your thoughts on His percepts and His perspectives.
2. Instruct: The Holy Spirit will transform our thoughts by instructing, teaching and counseling. The Spirit of Christ who is indwelling in us will instruct us with impressions in our heart and with His still small voice.
3. Insight: The mind that is instructed, guided and directed by the Holy Spirit will break small mindedness and limited vision and will have the insight and faith to see an obstacle as an opportunity through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Mindcraft is to align our thoughts and perceptions with the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Dearest Lord Jesus, transform my mind to reflect your thoughts, ways and perspectives. Amen.
