14 August 2025 – Mindcraft – Part 2

1 Samuel 18:14 “And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.”

“Mindcraft is a proactive approach where individuals consciously shape their thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives to foster growth and navigate challenges effectively. It means architecting your mental space, decluttering negative thoughts, and planting seeds of positivity, resilience, and ambition.”

The victory of David was not in his muscle but in his mindset. God gave him victory as a teenager even before he built his biceps and triceps, as he had a renewed mind and a victory mindset (1 Samuel 17:45-46). David won the battles in his mind before he plunged into the battlefield.  He did not fight, he went to win and plunder the enemy. The wisdom, willpower and winning attitude of David can be attributed to his renewed mind.

A transformed mind is not just ‘positive thinking’. ‘Positive thinking’ that is not anchored in the ‘promises of God will eventually fade away.  A renewed mind thinks like Jesus. Renewing means “architecting our mental arena” by decluttering pessimism, antagonism and egotism. It will involve breaking-down and building-up. Small mindedness, defeated mentality, depressing thoughts must be captured and destroyed. The word ‘renewing’ is in the present continuous tense, emphasizing that refreshing our minds to think like Jesus is a daily and ongoing necessity. A renewed mind will make us wise in all our decisions and determinations. Praise, prayer and prolific thinking are ‘the building material’ that will refurbish our mind with godly wisdom, gratitude and victory-mentality.

Mindcraft – Victory Mindset:

1.             Wise: A surrendered mind grows seeds of wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. When we start our day by renewing our mind in the prayer closet, wisdom will spout, bloom, and blossom and bear fruits of prudence and success.

2.             Wealth: A renewed mind that walks in the fear of the Lord will be richly rewarded. “The reward for humility and fear of the LORD is riches and honor and life,” (Proverbs 22:4).

3.             Winning“A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits”, but a transformed mind demolishes ‘quitting attitude’ and is renewed with the winning mindset.

Mindcraft is demolishing negativity and rebuilding a winning attitude.

“Wisdom is nothing but God’s thoughts put into action”

Prayer: Loving Saviour, help me to tear down defeated mentality and be renewed with victory mindset. Amen.
