Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
“Mindcraft is a proactive approach where individuals consciously shape their thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives to foster growth and navigate challenges effectively. It means architecting your mental space, decluttering negative thoughts, and planting seeds of positivity, resilience, and ambition.”
The transformed mind, mind-crafted by the understanding of God’s word, is joyful, peaceful and confident. The time that we take to recover from a fall, fear or frustration will mark the degree of our transformation. A renewed mind will not be shaken by a rejection in a relationship, regret letter from a prospective employer or redundancy. The resilience to bounce back from a setback is the strength of a renewed mind.
While everyone around David was overwhelmed with grief over the loss of their families and fortune, David chose to renew his mind and strengthen His soul to hear from God. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God (1 Samuel 30:6b). Unless our mind is renewed we cannot understand God’s good, pleasing and perfect will. The clutter, confusion and clamour in the mind will cancel the still small voice of the Saviour. If we are easily offended by people and God or we whine, worry and wither easily, our mind is not renewed.
Press the refresh button every morning and cleanse your mental area to be refilled by the Lord.
Mindcraft – Renew your Mind:
1. Surrender: Surrender is to let go of our wish-list and yield to God’s will-list. Ten out of ten times, the Lord’s thoughts are better than our intelligent deliberations. So, after conveying your desire, surrender to “God’s will”.
2. Submit: Submission simply means implicit obedience. As long as we are trying to twist the hand of God to have our way, there will be heaviness in our heart. The moment we submit to obey, the mind will be light and the soul will be enlightened.
3. Strength: Security in Him is our shelter and strength.
Mindcraft is to surrender, submission and rest in the shelter and strength of the Most High God.
Prayer: Sovereign Saviour, I will surrender my will and submit to your ways. There is strength, security and serenity in you. Amen.
