Romans 8:5-6 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
“Mindcraft is a proactive approach where individuals consciously shape their thoughts, beliefs, and perspectives to foster growth and navigate challenges effectively. It means architecting your mental space, decluttering negative thoughts, and planting seeds of positivity, resilience, and ambition.”
Mindcraft is to untangle from carnal desires and weave our godly thoughts, goals and desires. Handloom weaving is a close analogy to knit our mind or mindcrfat our thoughts to the holy, honourable and humble desires. In weaving, ‘wrap’ refers to the vertical threads that form the backbone of the fabric. ‘Weft’ thread runs horizontally across the fiber. The two sets of threads are interlaced to create a woven fabric.
Similarly, the mind is woven with two sets of thoughts – the “wrap” is the Word of God and the “weft” is our determination and discipline. The weaving process happens layer by layer in pristine precession with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Mindcraft – Weave Godly Mindset:
1. Wrap: The “wrap” or God’s Word becomes the backbone on which our decision to think and meditate on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy are loomed. Scriptures should be our “wrap” thread that lays the foundation, boundaries and base for our thought pattern.
2. Weft: Weft is overlaid on the wrap to mindcraft the soul with positivity, resilience and godly vision. “Weft” is our resolute decision to capture whatever is false, unholy, wrong, impure, horrifying, deplorable, inferior and disgraceful and replace the inferior with the superior thought-disciplines. The overlaying fiber of decision, discipline and determination will form godly patterns of thinking. Excuses dismiss the decision to transform. Discipline to capture ugly thoughts and the determination to exterminate profane contemplation will transform our mind.
3. Weave: The moral fiber of a transformed mind is woven by the Word of God and worship. The Word and worship will break the threads of addiction, animosity and anger, and weave the desires of the Spirit.
Mindcraft is weaving our mindset on what the Spirit desires.
Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, empower me to break the ungodly threads and weave godly desires. Amen.
