Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
“Spiritual warfare is an attack from the demonic realm to stop, stagger and sabotage our spiritual progress.”
We must understand and know the wicked schemes of the devil and his demons. His schemes are not new; the devil’s brains have not grown much. He is still using the same evil plots that he used in the Garden of Eden – distraction, discouragement and disunity. He is however becoming more and more ferocious and fierce as his end is near. The demons deceive, defraud and dishearten.
The difference between a divine delay and a demonic disruption can be discerned by the peace and joy in your heart. In divine delays, even a “rejection” will keep us in perfect peace. Our joy will keep bubbling irrespective of the outcome. Our hope will be unshaken when our heart is right. On the contrary, if it is a demonic delay or disruption, a fighting enthusiastic spirit will arise within us to demolish the barrier. If you are not able to discern the difference, listen to your heart. Don’t be dragged by emotions but invite the Prince of Peace to fill your heart with peace. Discern your direction with peace.
Spiritual Warfare – Understand the Schemer:
1. Signals: The signals of spiritual attack are loss of enthusiasm in spiritual discipline. Lack of passion to study the Bible, the motivation to pursue our purpose and vision are signs and signals of demonic attack.
2. Schemes: Neither the devil nor the demons can read our mind. They can only see the momentum of our progress in the spiritual realm. The strength of our faith is the bandwidth of our spiritual momentum. The demons will be able to watch the mighty angels encircling and empowering to prepare us for the expansion. The Angelic embattlement around us will attract the demons to shoot arrows of fear and doubt. Perfect peace at all times confuses the demonic schemers.
3. Strategies: The strategy to overcome the schemes is to practice the precepts. Practice love, patience and forgiveness instead of hoarding unforgiveness and offense.
Don’t allow doubt and fear to derail you; Put on the full armour and stand against his wicked schemes.
Prayer: Victorious Jesus, help me to remain in divine joy and peace to perplex the demonic schemers. Amen.
