Daniel 10:13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
“Spiritual warfare is an attack from the demonic realm to stop, stagger and sabotage our progress both in the spiritual and material realm.”
The presence, power and precepts of the Lord are the pathway to victory in a spiritual battle. Prayer and praise invites the will of God to be established on earth. Our prayer should intensify when we are in a spiritual battle. Delays, disappointments and disruptions that stand against our blessings and breakthroughs are demonic interventions that stagger or sabotage our fruitfulness. They ceaselessly work against the promises and prophecies of God over our life and relentlessly attack us with fatigue, distress and hopelessness. As we pray and praise without ceasing, and intentionally walk in peace we will be filled with power to win every battle.
The winning strategy of ‘prayer and praise’ brought victory to King Jehoshaphat. Early in the morning, as they set out to fight, the king appointed men to sing praises to the Lord. As they began to praise, the angelic combatants struck the armies of the enemy with confusion. The coalition armies attacked each other until they were completely destroyed.
Praise and worship in our prayer closet shoots lightning of confusion and fear into the ghetto of hellish hounds. Our battle is not with people but with the demonic spirits that operate through people who yield to the deceptive demons.
Spiritual Warfare – Winning Strategies:
1. Praise: Praise, prayer and worship are missiles that destroy the plots and plans of the devil. The LORD cast down large hailstones from heaven on them (Joshua 10:11).
2. Peace: Practice peace and refuse to be offended. Offense shuts the door to peace and prosperity. Prayer with unresolved anger and bitterness in the heart will not be heard. So, guard your heart from offense.
3. Power: The more we surrender and empty our mind from worry, intellectual and analytical thinking, the more we will be filled with divine power. Worship fuels power; worry drains it.
The hellish hounds are powerless before praise, peace and the power of God.
Prayer: Dearest Holy Spirit, give me a greater measure of your power to win every battle. Help me to live in peace and overflow with praise. Amen.
