Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know”.
“Jesus HELP! —the shortest, yet one of the most powerful prayers we can pray.”
We have a ‘speed-dial’ ‘prayer-hotline’ to heaven. We can use this speed-dial prayer-line to call for help anytime, anywhere and for anything. This speed-dial line is never busy, never slow and never out of order.
Our prayer hotline picks up momentum and connects at a supersonic speed when praise precedes prayer. God inhabits the praises of his people (Psalm 22:3). Praise exalts God over the frightening flood, famishing famine and evil foreboding. As praise enthrone King Jesus, the King’s favour will open the floodgates of heaven and answer our prayer. The prayer hotline to heaven is always open but praise accelerates prayers heavenward at a superfast supersonic speed.
In the time of desperation and despondency, King Jehoshaphat appointed the singers to precede the soldiers. As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated (2 Chronicles 20:22).
Praise is our supersonic prayer hotline. As we praise, power will descend from heaven and strike our enemies with stupor. Clothe yourself with the garment of praise before girding yourself with the soldier’s gear. We must put on our worship-hat before we buckle ourselves with the warrior-helmet.
Help:
1. Frequency: Praise increases our prayer-dial frequency exponentially. When you don’t know how or what to pray or if you are overwhelmed with a problem, stop crying, stop fretting and start praising. When you cannot feel the tangible presence of the Lord, start praising. Praise, thanksgiving and worship augment the prayer frequency bandwidth.
2. Force: Praise is the vocabulary of the angels and the angelic forces will respond by surrounding us with fiery horses and chariots as we praise. Praise is the battle cry from earth but it is the firing command in heaven for the angelic armies to annihilate the dirty demons.
3. Fortune: The people of Judah plundered the enemy’s camp for three days and gathered a great amount of fortune. Praise paved the way for the plunder.
Praise is the supersonic speed-dial prayer-hotline to heaven.
Prayer: Oh Lord my God, I will praise you for your wonders and worship you for your greatness. Amen.
