04 January 2026 – Transformational Breakthroughs – Part 4

2 Kings 4:40-41 The stew was poured out for the men, but as they began to eat it, they cried out, “Man of God, there’s poison in this stew!” And they could not eat it. Elisha said, “Get some flour.” He put it into the pot and said, “Serve it to the people to eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot.

There was famine in the land and the company of prophets with Elisha cooked a pot of stew. One of them had added some wild gourds to the stew and the pot of stew was poisoned. That was probably the last provision they had in the pantry to cook a meal. So, Elisha took some flour and mixed it with the poisonous stew. The flour removed the poison and the poison became the protein to the prophets!

This is a beautiful typology of the transformational touch of the Lord our Saviour. The poison of “slander”, “deformation” or “malign” that is cooked against God’s children will become the protein for their promotion! We see that in the life of the Bible Heroes. The evil that was plotted against Daniel, promoted him to the highest position in the kingdom. So Daniel prospered (Daniel 6:28a). Similarly we see that Haman was hung on the same gallows that he built for Mordecai and the evil plot against the Jews was the conduit to Mordecai’s promotion. The poison propelled Mordecai into the palace.

Do not be terrified by the poisonous tongues that smear to steal your promotion, stop your progress or spoil your reputation. The Lord will transform the poisonous slur into power, protein and promotion.

“Poison is the power, protein and pulpit” for Transformational Breakthroughs:

1. Protein: Do not stress about false accusations, gossip and lies that are spread about you. The poison is the only protein that will strengthen you for your progress in your ministry, career and personal growth.
2. Pulpit: The poisonous propaganda of the wicked will become the platform of your promotion and the pulpit of our powerful testimony among the pagans.
3. Power: The poison of the wicked is the power-gear of our promotion.  

God uses everything – even the poison of the wicked to elevate His children.

Prayer: Father Divine, help me to be calm and courageous when the wicked rise up against me trusting that their poisonous plot is the catalyst of my promotion.  Amen.
