Joshua 10:11a & 12b The Lord threw them into confusion before Israel, so Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely at Gibeon… As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the Lord hurled large hailstones down on them, and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.
Secret allies are two or more countries or groups that work together secretly on intelligence, defense, or diplomacy while pretending to be neutral. There might not be public declaration but the group will work in unison helping each other strategically.
The military alliance that we have with heaven is not a secret federation. It is publically announced and pronounced throughout scripture. This is the supreme coalition that anyone can have as the angelic army is fully aware of everything that forms, comes or connives against us, in heaven or on earth. The vigilance of heaven is on alert round the clock. The eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end (Deuteronomy 11:12). Nothing can and will miss the watchful security camera of heaven.
Joshua fought the battle on earth with his army but the aerial attack from the angelic army actually won the battle. The AK47s of heaven, “hailstones”, rained down from heaven and struck the enemies and destroyed them. With the aerial view the heavenly hosts had a full coverage of the battlefield and could precisely shoot down the attacking force.
In the battle that you and I face, we don’t have to be intimidated by the craftiness of the work colleague or the occultic practices of our neighbours. The plots of the envious enemies will be frustrated by the angelic army who are on alert day and night.
The Angelic Allies:
- Armory: We have a divine armory of hail, wind and storm. Our weapons of warfare are not carnal but spiritual that pulls down strongholds and defeats the demonic intruders and marauders.
- Air Force: We have angelic air force watching and protecting us. They have an aerial view of everything that is going on around us.
- Allies: The allies of heaven are available 24/7, 365 days.
The angelic air force of heaven is our protection.
Prayer: Father God, teach me to look up for help and never rely on human strength. Amen.
