Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
We have authority over the evil forces that form against us and the wicked tongues that criticize us. The mandate in this promise is very clear that we have authority over all and every conniving demonic weapon. No matter how powerful or fearful the weapon is or how influential the slanderer is, with God on our side, we have victory over them. The authority over our enemies is our inheritance. The Lord God Himself is our righteousness and will deliver us without a blemish.
When the enemy comes against us like a flood, the Lord will raise a rushing wind that will turn the flood into a trickling stream. For he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the LORD drives (Isaiah 59:19b). The most influential officer in the Persian Empire, Haman could not annihilate the Jews or execute his plan against the Lord’s chosen. No man on earth and no demon in hell can touch God’s children. We have authority over their evil plans and ploys.
The Lord will overturn the crafty plans of the Ahithophels against them. They dug a pit before me, but they themselves have fallen into it! (Proverbs 26:27). Do not be intimidated by the crafty, cruel and cunning people who are trying to steal your promotion, reputation or generation. Exercise your authority and shame the enemy.
Exercise your birthright over the enemy.
- Wind: The wind of God will blow against the enemy and obliterate him. The backstabbers who plot against God’s children will be blown away by the mighty wind of God’s army.
- Wisdom: The Lord will make us wiser than our enemies (Psalm 119:98).
- Weapons: The weapons of the wicked will only form but before they take shape to hurt you, they will crumble and fall. As we keep walking in authority, the God who changes times and seasons will make you and me condemn those who brutally and unjustly condemned us.
We have authority over the wicked, crafty and the backbiters to defeat and shame them.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, give me the boldness to exercise my authority and defeat the enemy. Amen.
