Matthew 27:51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open.

Unspoken words are non-verbal communication such as thoughts, feelings, or messages conveyed through non-verbal cues like body language, facial expressions and silence. Without uttering a word, the earth, rocks and tombs preached a profound message that sin, shame and sickness had been put to death when Jesus died on the cross. The message the inanimate creations preached resounded that chains of curses and that satan and the demonic forces were stripped of their authority over God’s children. The curtain between the Holy place and the Most Holy place in the temple, which was about 4 inches (about 10 cm) thick, tore into two not from bottom up but top to bottom. The finely woven and richly threaded linen of blue, purple and scarlet curtain of the temple separated the commoner from the presence of God. The curtain preached and continues to preach the sermon to us that the restriction from entering God’s presence has been removed. Anyone who humbly and earnestly seeks Him can enter into the splendid presence of the Lord.
Creation speaks to us through unspoken words and non-verbal language. Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions reverberate a message from heaven. Then the earth shook and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains trembled; they were shaken because He burned with anger (Psalm 18:7) & (Psalm 97:5).
Tune-in to the non-verbal messages and worship:
- Rocks: Jesus said that the rocks will cry out the praise of His majesty (Luke 19:40), and the rocks cried out by splitting open when Jesus died on the cross.
- Rainclouds: The rainclouds obey the direction of the Lord. He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside (Job 5:10).
- Radio-Waves: There is a continuous chorus of praise and worship that arises from the earth and resounds from heaven, 24/7. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands (Psalm 19:1). Radio magnetic waves of praise and worship fill the earth.
The voice of praise and worship ascends from God’s non-animate creation 24/7.
Prayer: Dear Lord, make me aware of the voice of praise around me and join with all creation to worship you. Amen.
