Corporate benefits are non-wage compensations provided to employees in addition to their base salary to support their well-being and work-life balance. Leave entitlements, medical benefits, retirement schemes, discounted products, health and life insurance are some of the corporate benefits. Our rebirth into the family of Christ comes with a package of divine corporate benefits. The heritage benefits accompany those who choose intimacy with Christ over the idolatrous and wayward living.
Heritage rewards follow those who are born-again into the family of Christ.
The qualification to become eligible to heritage rewards is adoption into the family of Jesus Christ. In adoption, the child that is adopted gains full inheritance rights of the adoptive parents. A new birth certificate is issued and the child is given a new surname. Similarly, when we are born into the family of Christ our identity changes and we take the surname of our adoptive father. All the birthrights are inherited through adoption. Amongst the many rights and privileges, the blessing of godly children, posterity and heritage is an integral part. The fruit of your womb will be blessed (Deuteronomy 28:4a).
Hence, our children can never be lost in the world. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call (Acts 2:39). They might have bouts of enticement to worldliness but they can never wander away from Christ as long as we exercise our birthright and the promises through prayer, fasting and righteous living. Prayer for the wayward family members is not just a request – it is a petition as we invoke our birthrights and protection mentioned in our mandate – the Holy Bible. “Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,” declares the Lord…So there is hope for your descendants,” (Jeremiah 31:16-17).
Heritage Rewards:
- Progeny: Progeny is our birthright. Among you there will be no barren man or woman or livestock (Exodus 23:26).
- Posterity: Our posterity is secured in His promises.
- Pedigree: Our prayers will outlive us and protect our future pedigree.
“Fruit of the womb is our birthright.”
Prayer: Sovereign Lord, enlighten my eyes to the truth of your Word and my heritage in You. Amen.
