26 August 2026 – Methods & Methodologies – Part 7

Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

‘Methods’ are specific techniques or procedures but ‘Methodology’ is the overall strategy, rationale, and theoretical framework that guides the use of the methods. God’s methodology of redemption from sin, transgressions, iniquities and consequential curses have not changed throughout the Bible. The blood has always been the only antidote to save, sanctify and set-free.

God’s overall governing plan or methodology of redemption for humanity is to help, heal and honour. However, He might use different methods in the restoration process.

The blood of the Passover lamb was the sacred symbol on the homes of the Hebrew slaves in Egypt that saved them from death and destruction. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt (Exodus 12:13). Physical application of the blood of the lamb with a hyssop protected them from death and destruction. After Jesus died as the Passover Lamb, on the cross of Calvery, animal sacrifice was no longer required. The blood of a lamb lost its power over the precious blood of the Lamb of God. Hence, the method of application of the blood of Jesus is no longer physical but spiritual. The blood of Jesus is the protection over our homes, heads and heritage.

Without the blood of Jesus, we will be under the sovereign judgement and wrath of God. We have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1). Under the new and superior covenant, the spiritual application of the blood is with words through faith and not with blood of animals and hyssop.

Justified by the blood through faith:

  1. Homes: Spiritual application of the blood of Jesus over our homes protect the unity, peace and harmony of our dwelling.
  2. Heads: Application of the blood of Jesus through faith on our head marks us as God’s children and distinguishes us from the rest.
  3. Heritage: Claiming the blood of Jesus over our heritage preserves our legacy from unfaithfulness and ungodliness.

We are justified through the blood.

Prayer: Dearest Lord Jesus, I humbly receive forgiveness of my sins and curses by faith through your blood. Amen.
