Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’.
Antidote is the remedy that counteracts poison, harmful substances and its effects. It neutralizes, reverses and nullifies the effects of toxins, venom and its destructive influence. Antidote is the healing counterforce.
The blood transports oxygen, glucose, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and hormones that are essential for the cells to live and function from the lungs to every tissue in the body, including the bones. It also removes waste, fights infection and aids in healing injuries. Hence the biological life is maintained by the blood by both nourishing the different parts of the body and also carrying waste. Lack of sufficient blood, anemia, can cause extreme fatigue, low iron levels and heart disease. While a rich healthy supply of blood nourishes the body, the lack of blood can lead to complications and even death.
The blood sustains us both physically and spiritually. The biological understanding of the importance of blood is the direct analogy to comprehend the power of the blood of Jesus. When we spiritually apply the blood there is a spiritual blood infusion that takes place. Blood transfusion replaces the blood or specific blood components lost through severe injury, surgery, or medical conditions. Similarly, the spiritual application of the blood of Jesus replaces the vitality lost due to hurt, insults and rejection. The blood of Jesus heals the damage caused by sins, transgressions and iniquities.
The Blood is the antidote:
- Heartache: Heartbreak is a real biological and neurological event. When a social bond breaks, the brain treats the heartache as a physical injury. As blood rushes to the injured area and clotting starts the process of healing, applying the blood over the heartache starts the healing of our spiritual heart.
- Humiliation: Apply the blood over the humiliation and it will turn into honour.
- Hurt: The power of the blood over shame, offence and abuse becomes the healing balm. The healing blood over antagonism, addictions and anxiety will rejuvenate the dead cells in our spiritual heart.
Spiritual application of the blood of Jesus is like blood transfusion.
Prayer: Jesus My King, I will receive spiritual blood transfusion every day to be rejuvenated by you. Amen.
