NZ Salt + Light Outreach Ministry Profile
NZ Salt + Light Outreach Ministry was birthed as a vision in the year 2017 with the purpose of adding more souls in to God’s kingdom. Jesus has given us the great commission to go into the world, seek the lost and make disciples according to Mathew 28: 19-20. Our vision is based on Isaiah: 61: 1- 3: “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and releasefrom darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour”.
As we live in a fallen world which is broken, hurting and in bondage, we are urged to be a channel of blessing to those who are spiritually blind, setting free those who are in bondage and helping them taste the love, sacrifice and the saving Grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In the process, we also help them realise their full potential and the purpose of their life. During our periodic Outreach meetings, we create an opportunity for people to come and listen to life transforming messages, thought-provoking real-life experiences and testimonies. As we do so, we believe that the Spirit of God will touch and transform lives
according to Zechariah 4:6 “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty”. Those that need further spiritual nourishment and if they are not already part of any church, will be planted in various Churches based on their ethnic background and needs, to be nurtured and groomed into disciples so that they can be Salt and Light in their circle of influence.
