12 December 2024 – Lifestyle of Jesus – Part 4

John 14:31 “No, I do what my father tells me to do. I do that so that the people of this world can know that I love my father”.

Jesus had a continuous conversation with the Father in heaven while He was on earth. Jesus refused to say or do anything without consulting His Father and Our Father in Heaven. This is why when Mary came to Him with a need at the wedding of Cana, Jesus said, “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” (John 2:4). He was waiting for the ‘Morse code’ from heaven for the “hour of the miracle”. The voice from heaven was like an amplifier in the heart of Jesus. His eyes were open to heaven and He could see the movements of heaven like a screenplay. He moved when His Father moved. “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does (John 5:19).

Jesus spoke with authority that stunned the people. The crowds were amazed at his teaching, because He taught as one who had authority, and not as their scribes (Matthew 7:28-29). Jesus had a steady and strong bandwidth from heaven and operated in the frequency of heaven. The lifestyle of Jesus was to hear and respond to divine frequency.

Our lifestyle must also be like that of Jesus; we must develop the habit of hearing the divine frequency.  Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27). It is a learnt habit to hear from Him continually. Our spiritual ears, eyes and heart must be tuned to connect and respond to the heavenly bandwidth.

Lifestyle of Hearing God’s Voice:

1.         Receive: We will be able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit in our spirit only if we quieten the noise of our emotions in our soul. Our mind is the battlefield. If our mind is clogged with the mess and clutter of worries, anxieties and probabilities, we cannot receive the divine radio signal clearly. Clear the clutter to receive the divine frequency.

2.         Reverberate: Once the connection is established the voice of the Holy Spirit will reverberate in our heart. If we ignore His voice, we will lose our peace. If there is no peace over a matter, do not move forward. Pray and seek His guidance.

3.         Respond: There will be power and purity when we move with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was never anxious, confused or perplexed during His time on earth as He was responding to the instructions of the Father always.

Develop a lifestyle of hearing from the voice of the Holy Spirit and responding to the bandwidth of the divine frequency.

John 6:38 “For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.”

Prayer: Dearest Holy Spirit, help me to tune into the divine frequency of the Holy Spirit and be led by you. Amen.
