07 August 2025 – Kingdom Lifestyle – Part 2

Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of (1) righteousness and (2) peace and (3) joy in the Holy Spirit.”

“The ‘Kingdom of God’ is not a Christian cliché; it is the lifestyle of a child of God.”

The “Kingdom of God” is a way of life for those who believe that Jesus is Lord. This is not only a (1) “lifestyle of righteousness” with access to the divine riches but it is also a lifestyle of (2) peace and (3) joyPeace is the stillness of the soul in the storm. It is a serenity that surpasses human understanding in the tornado and the tumult. This “kingdom peace” is an outcome of trusting God through the tests and the typhoons. “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you” (Isaiah 26:3).

In the kingdom lifestyle, the mind is fully surrendered to the voice and the direction of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit speaks to us through the impressions in our heart.  In the kingdom lifestyle, the mind does not decide or dictate the mood or the mouth – the Holy Spirit does. Divine peace overrules facts and energizes faith.

If we are burdened and saddened when we face disappointments and discouragements, then, we are not living the kingdom lifestyle. When anxiety, worry or stress stifles in the soul, turn your focus to hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. The trust and confidence in the Almighty God will keep us in perfect peace and fearless before the Red Sea and the flooded Jordan. When your mind is troubled or confused, speak to it – “Be still”

Kingdom Lifestyle – Peace:

1.             Container: Jesus is the Prince of Peace and if He is the Lord over our lives then, we cannot live in turmoil. We are containers of divine peace. Fear will contaminate the container of our heart, but faith and trust will invigorate perfect peace.

2.             Carrier: We are carriers of peace into the tumultuous secular world.

3.             Conductor: When the world is troubled about the economic, social or financial conditions, we must be the conduit and conductor of peace to the troubled souls.

Kingdom lifestyle is peace, quietness and calm confidence in Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Jesus, Prince of Peace, fill my soul with your peace in all situations. Amen.
