Luke 17:21b “You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
“The ‘Kingdom of God’ is not a Christian cliché; it is the lifestyle of a child of God.”
Kingdom lifestyle is a “mindset” that is “fearless”, “limitless” and “boundless”. Smith Wigglesworth, a British Evangelist who was known as “the Apostle of faith” said, “I am a thousand times bigger on the inside than I am on the outside”. Our perspective will shape our belief system and influence our lifestyle. Kingdom of God is not our local church, convention or crusade. Kingdom of God is within you and me. Inviting Christ Jesus into our heart will and should transform our mind and birth the Kingdom mindset. Kingdom Lifestyle delivers us from fear, doubt and worry and instills a mindset of “freedom”, “fervor” and “faith”.
Those who are slaves to sin live in the kingdom of darkness and satan is their king. In the kingdom of darkness, their king, satan, is a murderer, manipulator and marauder who condemns and abuses those who choose cheap pleasures and follow him.
In the Kingdom of God we live under the promises, protection and providence of Christ Jesus. It is a lifestyle of faith that transforms the wretched sinner into royalty.
Kingdom Lifestyle – Faith Mindset:
1. Identity: Identity is the way we perceive ourselves – spiritually, socially, economically and financially. When we know who we are and who’s we are, we will not live in slave mentality, orphan mentality and scarcity mentality. Our ID card reads, “King’s Kids”
2. Identical: Just like how children have the features of their parents we will reflect the nature and character of King Jesus. Our thoughts, talk and touch will be identical to Jesus.
3. Inheritance: There are no unmet needs in the kingdom. We have a rich inheritance through faith in the kingdom. We don’t look to human hands for favour or finance; we only look up to King Jesus from whom all blessings flow. We are born-again into the divine inheritance of the King of Kings.
Kingdom Lifestyle is a lifestyle of faith that makes us thousand times bigger on the inside than on the outside.
Prayer: Sovereign King, transform my thoughts, tongue and touch to reflect you. Thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
