Job 1:1&8 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
“We will be tested and proved.”
ISO 9000 refers to international standards for quality management systems (QMS) developed by the International Organization for Standardization. There will be three layers of inspections/audits done before the ISO 9000 certificate is granted – Documentation Inspection, Process Inspections and Product and Services Inspection. Policies, procedures and training manuals including risk assessment will be audited. The inspection verifies process compliance and product and service conformity.
Similarly, the spiritual ISO 9000 certificate authenticates our character, self-control and our consecration to the Lord. There are two testimonies about Job in the Book of Job. The first verse speaks about the testimony of Job in the land that he was living. Job was known as a blameless and upright man who feared God and shunned evil. Then in verse 8 the Lord Himself testifies and authenticates verse 1 that Job was a righteous and integrous man who walked in the reverential fear before Him.
Blameless does not mean that he had never falter or failed. It only means that he did not have stubborn or hidden sins in him. Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression (Psalm 19:12-13). “Hidden Sins” are persistent weaknesses of the darkness when no one is watching us and “Willful sins” are headstrong and deliberate sins. Uprightness is integrity and faithfulness to God in heaven and truthfulness and honesty towards men. Obedience in love is the true expression of the fear of the Lord.
Spiritual ISO 9000 Audit Reports:
- Blameless: We will be found blameless when there are no hidden or stubborn sins in our lives.
- Benevolent: Benevolence is a mark of uprightness.
- Blemishless: In the court of heaven, satan will have nothing to accuse us of when there are no hidden and willful sins in our lives.
“The blameless have an uninterrupted flow of the favour of God.”
Prayer: Father God, help me to live a blameless, benevolent and blemishless life. Amen.
