Genesis 26:16 Then Abimelek said to Isaac, “Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us.”
“Success Factors” are measured by the influence and credibility that we gain.
“Every challenge on the earth must first be won in the spiritual realm before it manifests in the natural realm”.
Isaac had notable success in a time of recession. While the garden of his neighbours was wilting, Isaac was weeding and watering his blossoms. While there was no sowing or harvesting in the land as there was no rain or dew, Isaac was building new barns to store his new grain and olive oil. Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him (vs 12). The blessing of the Lord makes one prosperous. Blessings are not just measured in dollars, pounds and rupees but health, peace and fullness of life.
The success and significance that irritates the eyes of the enemies is real success. “Progression in recession; Peace in the progression and Power in the progression” marked the success of Isaac. The king of the land with all his man and muscle power was afraid of his influence. The secret to the success of Isaac was his obedience to the instructions of the Lord. Now there was a famine in the land. The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live (vs 1a-2). God’s strategies never fail. Obedience to His Word brings success. When we seek His direction and obey His instructions, He will set a table in the presence of our enemies and anoint our head with honour.
Our progress will be envied by the enemies as the blessed who walk in the fear of the Lord are unstoppable.
Success Factors:
- Recession: Trust in the Lord and obedience to His Word are the key success factors in times of recession.
- Reset: The economy could be resetting and regressing in recession but God’s children will be progressing.
- Rebuff: Rejection is God’s way to progression. Isaac was forced to move out from his comfort zone only to discover Rehoboth (room-to-flourish).
“Progression in recession; Peace and Power in the progression will mark our success”.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I submit to be obedient to your Word to reap progression, peace and power in recession. Amen.
