03 June 2026 – JESUS – Part 7

John 11:25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

Death precedes resurrection. The dictionary meaning of resurrection is the action or fact of restoring a dead person to life, or of being restored to life. Jesus explained that “death to flesh and resurrection in the spirit” as a seed that dies to germinate. I tell you the solemn truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains a single kernel; but if it dies it produces a great harvest (John 12:24). The seed that is planted in the ground breaks its outer shell, loses its original form to sprout into a seedling. In the process of germination, the seed loses its original form, which is a typology of dying.

The resurrected power of Christ who dwells in us transforms our carnal-mind that is infested with pride, envy and animosity to the spiritual-mind of peace and life. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8:6). If a person struggles with anger or bitterness or the like, they have not died to their carnal mindset. There will be no resurrection without dying to self.

Some seeds germinate in days but others take weeks or even years to sprout. The soil condition, temperature, moisture content or the type of seed might prolong the waiting period. The condition of the human heart determines the duration of the transformation. The proud who are puffed with arrogance are like seeds that have a long “waiting period” to transform and germinate.

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life:

  1. Rebirth: The resurrected power of Christ can transform us only when we die to our old nature. Those who resist change and give excuses for their repeated mistakes are like a dog that goes back to its vomit. They will not experience the rebirth, renewed lifestyle and peace.
  2. Regenerate: Soak in the Word of God, bask under the heat of His anointing and completely surrender to be regenerated into new-life.
  3. Resurrect: The communion table reminds us of the death and resurrection power of Jesus Christ, which transforms us into His likeness (1 Corinthians 11:24-25).

“The resurrected power of Christ transforms us into new creations”.

Prayer: My Risen Lord Jesus Christ, reign in me.  Amen
