Daniel 5:25-28 “This is the message that was written: Mene, Mene, Tekel , and Parsin. “Here is what these words mean: Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end. Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting. Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

ISO 9000 refers to international standards for quality management systems (QMS) developed by the International Organization for Standardization. If a corporation fails the audit and does not conform to the standards the existing certificate can be suspended or withdrawn.
Similarly, our spiritual ISO 9000 certificate of holiness, faithfulness and spiritual fitness can be cancelled, suspended or withdrawn at any time. The spiritual standards of purity, integrity and reliability is not a one-time credential but continuous ongoing criteria until we live on this earth. Living a life worthy of our calling should be our utmost priority at all times.
King Belshazzar, the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar desecrated the golden goblets that had been taken from the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. The king, the nobles, his wives and concubines drank from the goblets that were consecrated for holy use and they praised their handmade gods made out of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone. Immediately the Lord’s hand appeared and wrote a judgement on the wall which read that Belshazzar has been weighed on the divine scale and has been found “lacking”. Hence his position as the king was revoked with immediate effect. That very night he was killed and his kingdom was divided.
It is important to strive to live a life that is exceeding and does not fall short of the divine standards.
Spiritual ISO 9000 will be revoked on the following grounds:
- Desecrate: Desecration of the pulpit, power and purity.
- Defame: Defamation due to moral, social or relational failures. “God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you” (Romans 2:24).
- Depose: Misuse of resources, power and influence will be scrutinized by the divine invigilators of heaven. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. (Daniel 2:21a). God can dethrone anyone at any time as He deems fit.
“Holiness is an everyday spiritual standard.”
