09 October 2026 – Eight-2-Eight – Part 2

Psalm 119:164 Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.

Habit formation is the psychological and neurological process by which behaviors become habits through repetition. To praise the Lord seven times a day, like the Psalmist, requires discipline and intentional time management. Take 7 praise-breaks – 8am, 10am, 12 noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. Stop for a few seconds or minutes every two hours and develop the habit of praising the Lord 7 times a day.

At 8am, praise the Lord for His incomprehensible love, at 10am praise God for His “grace”. Grace is God’s unmerited favour that endows us with blessings that we are not worthy to receive. God’s grace enables us to execute with excellence the responsibilities given to us. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder (1 Corinthians 3:10). God’s grace emboldens us to empower others through the anointing and gifting. Yet I have written you quite boldly on some points to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me (Romans 15:15). God’s grace enthuses us to accomplish our purpose and our calling. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me (1 Corinthians 15:10). Without the Grace of God, we can do nothing.

It is the unmerited favour and the Grace of God that enables, emboldens and empowers us to live exemplary lives. So, take a few minutes at 10am to praise the Lord who endows us with His grace to be a minister, parent, preacher, policeman, doctor, teacher, banker or a baker. It is His grace that empowers us to be counsellors, comrades and computer professionals. Without His grace we can do nothing that is of eternal value.

Eight-2-Eight Praise-Breaks:

  1. Emboldens: God’s grace clothes us with boldness to execute our responsibilities with excellence and precision.
  2. Empowers: God’s grace empowers us with skills, wisdom and proficiency to execute the tasks assigned to us.
  3. Endows: Thanksgiving and praise increase the Grace of God (2 Corinthians 4:15).

Start the 7-times praise-break discipline from 8am-8pm.

Prayer: Father God, I will discipline myself to praise you 7 times every day. Thank you for your unmerited favour and grace. Amen.
