16 April 2026 – Unspoken Words – Part 1

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Unspoken words are non-verbal communication such as thoughts, feelings, or messages conveyed through non-verbal cues like body language, facial expressions, and silence rather than spoken language. Even unspoken words have value in the spiritual realm. Ephesians 3:20 says, Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. The thoughts from our heart influence and shape our future. Thoughts of faith generate dunamis power that results in mighty miracles but thoughts of fear generate destructive power that results in defeats. Unspoken words such as thoughts and feelings are a commodity in the spiritual realm.

“Thoughts are a commodity in the spiritual realm.”

Thoughts are powerful. Our thoughts play on an amplifier in heaven. Yes, even the ugly, unwholesome and undermining thoughts. The Gospel makes it crystal clear that the Lord can see through our mind and hear the thoughts of our heart. “Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, ‘Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?'” (Matthew 9:4). The thoughts that we meditate on become words. Thoughts shape the image of our personality, identity and self-esteem. If we entertain thoughts of defeat, weakness and smallness our self-esteem would plummet. Whereas, if we meditate on God’s Word and ruminate and reiterate God’s promises over and over again our confidence in the Lord will grow.

Our thoughts shape our future. Refuse to entertain anything that is contrary to the Word of God. We are anointed, blessed and chosen. We are God’s favoured and the apple of His eye. When ugly thoughts bombard our mind that we are rejected, unlovable and good for nothing, capture the thoughts and crush them by speaking the promises over them.

Thoughts are a commodity:

  1. Think: The mind is the factory that generates energy. Negative thoughts destroy enthusiasm and hope whereas positive thoughts instill vigor and vitality. Watch your thoughts. Think what you are thinking about.
  2. Test: Test every thought. If it is in alignment with God’s Word, trust it. If not, dump it.
  3. Tangible: Consider thoughts as a commodity—something that can unexpectedly fall into your lap like a tangible product.

Our thoughts are audible in the spiritual realm. So, watch your thoughts.

Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts to align with your will.  Amen.
