17 April 2026 – Unspoken Words – Part 2

Mark 11:13-14 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard it.

“Thoughts are a commodity in the spiritual realm.”

Unspoken words are non-verbal communication such as thoughts, feelings, or messages conveyed through non-verbal cues like body language, facial expressions, and silence. Unspoken words shape our thinking, perspectives and our personality. As a man thinks in his heart so is he!

Jesus went to a fig tree looking for fruit. A distinctive characteristic of the fig tree is that its leaves and fruit emerge at the same time. So, if a fig tree is full of leaves, it should typically produce the first fruits in spring. However, the fig tree that Jesus went looking for fruit had only leaves, and no fruit. Jesus answered or responded to the tree and cursed it. This means Jesus understood the non-verbal deceptive cues from the tree that conveyed that it is full of fruits but was barren. The verdant leaves on the tree were the non-verbal façade that it had fruits.  There was a silent deceptive echo from the tree. Jesus responded to the deceptive disguise and cursed the tree that deceived Him.

Just as Jesus did, we can speak to adverse circumstances that deceive and intimidate us. We have the authority to curse the sickness in our body and proclaim healing. We must curse the spirit of adultery, idolatry and revelry that blind the eyes of the naïve. When we curse the spirits of deception, disease and discord they will wither away. The deliverance anointing is in the tip of our tongue.

Respond to the non-verbal conversations:

  1. Deception: The symptoms of pain in our body is the body’s non-verbal conversation with us. Don’t be deceived. Curse anything that should not be in your body.
  2. Depression: The spirit of depression has a voice. Don’t listen to it. Answer back and cast it out.
  3. Dissuasion: Our circumstances talk to us. Silence its voice by speaking the Word of God.

Curse the deceiving symptoms of depression, disease and dissolution.

Prayer: Lord my God, coach me to respond and curse anything that comes to intimidate me.  Amen.
