Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
“Grace” is unmerited favour and the love of God towards us. Grace showers us with blessings that we are not worthy to receive and blesses those around us with His incredible favour. The favour of God firmly roots us in the “Grace Ground” and “Glory Territory”.
The Grace of God, God’s favour that we are not worthy of, gives us the strength in the sufferings, passion to accomplish our purpose and courage to stand in our calling. The favour of God that gives us the spiritual vitality to stand is “Grace Ground” where the glory/(power) of God manifests. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the key to enter into this “Grace Ground and Glory Territory”. It is by the grace of God we stand.
In the early church, mighty miracles were ordinary daily occurrences. The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people (Acts 5:12). The dusty streets that the feet of the apostle’s treaded became glory ground. As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by (Acts 5:15). As the measure of God’s grace increases there was a glorious manifestation of His power.
In an environment of God’s amazing grace and incredible glory, deceit was not tolerated. Annanias and Sapphira lied in the tabernacle of God’s glory and died at the blink of an eye. God’s grace cannot be taken for granted or misappropriated.
We need God’s grace every day to stand, testify and magnify His holy name.
God’s Grace and Glory Ground:
- Achievements: We can boast about nothing but the grace of God. Without His favour we cannot achieve anything.
- Accomplishments: We need His grace to accomplish our duties and responsibilities to God, our families and communities.
- Altitudes: God’s grace/(favour) elevates us to heights that we cannot imagine.
“God’s grace makes us stand in purity and power”.
Prayer: Father God, I need more and more of your grace/(favour) to fulfill my calling and to live in holiness. Amen
