Luke 6:19 Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone.
Methods are specific techniques or procedures used to collect and analyze data. Methodology on the other hand is the overall strategy, rationale, and theoretical framework that guides the choices and the use of the methods. God’s power follows His presence.
God’s overall governing plan or methodology of redemption for humanity is to help, heal and honour. However, He might use different methods in the restoration process.
Many seek the power of God but fail to realize that when they seek His presence, His power will automatically follow. Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles (Psalm 97:3-4). The presence of the Lord draws His favour, fire and fullness. The demonic enemies flee on every side. Sickness and sorrow are consumed in the fire of His presence.
Healing power emanated from Jesus as He walked through the crowd and everyone who reached out and touched Him were healed. They had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases (Luke 6:18). As they heard Him speak, faith arouse and healing power of God touched them and healed them. Faith is ignited by hearing the Word of God and in the explosion of faith the supernatural becomes natural (Romans 10:17).
Recognizing the presence of the Lord throughout the day, not just during our prayer time will manifest the power of God in our lives. Listening to His still small voice, involving Him in our day-to-day life, talking to Him about everything and having a continual communication with Him increases the awareness of God’s presence and His wonder working power.
God’s Presence:
- Fire: Living a God-conscious life surrounds us with the fire of His protection. As the fire on the altar of praise burns bright, the presence of God will be evident and the manifestation of His power will become eminent.
- Favour: The fear of the Lord and a God-conscious lifestyle increases the favour of God.
- Fullness: The presence of the Lord will manifest as fullness and fruitfulness in our life.
The presence of the Lord draws the wonderworking power of God.
Prayer: King Jesus, I will live in the awareness of your sovereign presence and bask under your mighty power. Amen.
