13 October 2026 – Eight-2-Eight – Part 6

Psalm 119:164 Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.

Habit formation is the psychological and neurological process by which behaviors become habits through repetition. Create your personalized template of praise-breaks 7 times a day. During the conscious hours of the day, take praise-breaks at 8am, 10am, 12 noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm to stop for a few seconds or minutes to praise God. Praise converges the natural and the supernatural together and our worship engulfs us into the presence of the Lord.

At 8am, praise the Lord for His incomprehensible “Love”, at 10am praise God for His incredible “Grace”, at 12 noon praise Him for His unfathomable “Mercy”, at 2pm praise God for His life-giving “Word”, at 4pm praise Him for the “anointing” that breaks the yoke and at 6pm take few minutes to praise God for His “wonderous and marvelous works”. “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds” (Psalm 77:11-12). Recollect the mighty miracles of long ago; not only those in the scriptures but also all the amazing wonders that He had done in your life.

There will be tests and trials as long as we live on this earth. Overcoming a test of health, finance or relationship does not automatically qualify us to face the next trial of fear. However, a habit of stopping to praise God 7 times a day will empower us to remain in a mode of gratitude and thankfulness irrespective of the perils we face. When you face a storm, remember the mighty hand of God that delivered you from the previous one. Praise God for His mighty miracles.

Eight-2-Eight Praise-Breaks:

  1. Remember: Talk about His mighty deeds over your dinner table. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts (Psalm 145:4).
  2. Recollect: Keep a log of testimonies and recollect the mighty miracles. Celebrate the small success and rejoice over every little thing that the Lord has done.
  3. Renews: Remembering and recounting God’s goodness and power renews our faith and strengthens us to remain steadfast in trusting Him.

Start the 7-times praise-break discipline from 8am-8pm.

Prayer: Father God, I will discipline myself to praise you 7 times every day. Praise you for the mighty miracles and wonderful deeds. Amen.
