14 October 2026 – Eight-2-Eight – Part 7

Psalm 119:164 Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.

Habit formation is the psychological and neurological process by which behaviors become habits through repetition. Create your personalized template of praise-breaks 7 times a day. During the conscious hours of the day, take praise-breaks at 8am, 10am, 12 noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm to stop for a few seconds or minutes to praise God. At the end of the day at 8pm praise God for His countless promises and the unfolding of His Word in faith.

At 8am, praise the Lord for His incomprehensible “Love”, at 10am praise God for His incredible “Grace”, at 12 noon praise Him for His unfathomable “Mercy”, at 2pm praise God for His life-giving “Word”, at 4pm praise Him for the “anointing” that breaks the yoke, at 6pm praise God for His “wonderous and marvelous works” and at 8pm finish your day with thanksgiving and gratitude for things to come. A heart of gratitude will position us to look into the uncertain future and rejoice at the future (Proverbs 31:25). Our confidence in God’s insurmountable promises augments as we praise Him. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13). Thanksgiving straightens our attitude towards uncertainties. An attitude of gratitude builds our confidence in Him and fills us with joy, peace and hope.

Praise and worship are like the thermostat that regulates the attitude of the heart. Praise overlooks the pain of the present problem and peaks through the window of God’s promises. Praise puts a smile on our face because it enables us to see beyond what is, to what will be, according to God’s Word.

Eight-2-Eight Praise-Breaks:

  1. Attitude: Praise regulates the attitude of the heart. Praise gives momentum in the midst of peril and transforms pain into power.
  2. Aptitude: Praise makes the heart happy and fills the mind with hope and peace. Our cognitive functions and aptitude improve when we are emotionally balanced, content, and positive.
  3. Algorithm: Praise, worship, and a grateful heart are the divine algorithm for breakthrough.

Start the 7-times praise-break discipline from 8am-8pm.

Prayer: Father God, I will discipline myself to praise you 7 times every day for your love, grace, mercy, Word, anointing, works and your promises that never fail. Amen.
